Why Air Conditioning

An air conditioning unit that is sized well, installed and used properly can regulate the temperature of your residential or commercial home or office. But in order to derive maximum efficiency from the air conditioning unit, it is important that the device is installed well and serviced properly.

Maximum efficiency

Air conditioning units are without a doubt the most efficient way of regulating the temperature of a commercial or residential establishment. That said some air conditioning units have more efficiency than others and some do their job for a lesser cost than others. The ENERGY STAR mark is a symbol of an efficient air conditioning unit. If you go for an ENERGY STAR model, it is likely that you will save around $150 on annual running costs.

Performance at high temperatures

Air conditioning units are tested in accordance with their performance when the outside temperatures are approx 7 degrees. Not all air conditioning units perform well at extreme temperatures. This is where it becomes important to buy a unit with the ENERGY STAR mark on it.

How to choose the right unit?

In order to choose the right unit, you need to look out for a few factors. The first in the list is the quality of the heat pump. Most trusted brands and manufacturers and suppliers are willing to offer at least a five-year warranty on the parts and installation.
The size of the unit  in regards to BTU or KW (kiliowatts) also plays a major part in temperature regulation. The device should be chosen in accordance to suit the desired space. Choosing a wrongly sized unit or (to small) sized air conditioning unit might unneccesarily increase your running cost it is therefore essential the correct unit is recommended (not one size fits all)
